USDA ARS Solicits CO2 Backup Systems and Installation for Ultra-Low Freezers

The USDA Agricultural Research Service (ARS), through its Acquisition and Property Division and the Animal Genomics and Improvement Laboratory, is seeking quotations for the purchase and installation of eight CO2 Backup Systems for ultra-low -80C freezers at the Beltsville Agricultural Research Center. - Government Buyer: - USDA Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Acquisition and Property Division (AFM APD) - Animal Genomics and Improvement Laboratory (AGIL), Beltsville Agricultural Research Center (BARC) - Products/Services Requested: - Eight (8) CO2 Backup Systems for ultra-low -80C freezers - Must provide at least 8 hours of backup cooling - Must be compatible with five Panasonic MDF-U76VA-PA freezers and three Nuaire NU-99728 freezers - Installation services for all eight systems - Installation must be performed by licensed and trained technicians - Freezers must be defrosted prior to installation - Notable Requirements: - Systems must be compatible with specific freezer models (Panasonic MDF-U76VA-PA and Nuaire NU-99728) - Backup duration requirement: minimum 8 hours - Installation by licensed professionals is mandatory - Small business set-aside, including women-owned and economically disadvantaged women-owned small businesses - Firm fixed price contract - No specific OEMs or part numbers are specified in the solicitation - Technical requirements are detailed in Attachment 2

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12.  This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; offers are being requested, and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. 

Solicitation number 1232SA26Q0651 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for a (8) CO2 Backup Systems and Installation.

This acquisition  is set-aside for small business concerns.  This solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses by reference.  The full text of provisions and clauses may be accessed electronically at www.acquisition.gov.

The applicable North American Industry Classification Standard Code is 33415  The small business size standard is 1,250 employees.  This acquisition is a Total Small Business Set-Aside.  All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the agency.
