Description
The City of Fresno is soliciting applications from experienced housing development organizations to construct new affordable housing or substantially rehabilitate existing housing within the city. Selected developers will handle all aspects of development including property acquisition, entitlement, environmental clearance, financing, and construction. The City proposes to provide funding through federal and state programs, including HOME Investment Partnerships, Community Housing Development Organization funding, and Permanent Local Housing Allocation. Funding will be used as gap financing for affordable housing units with affordability covenants of 55 years for multi-family and 30 years for single-family housing. Funding will be provided as low interest loans or interim construction financing converting to permanent second mortgage assistance.
