NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center is seeking fabrication and delivery of thin-wall nozzles and qualification samples using Laser Powder Directed Energy Deposition (LP-DED) with JBK-75 and NASA HR-1 alloys. - Government Buyer: - NASA Marshall Space Flight Center, managed by NASA Shared Services Center (NSSC) - OEMs and Vendors: - RPM INNOVATIONS INC is identified as the intended sole source provider - Products Requested: - NASA HR-1 7K Thin-wall Nozzle, AFT (1 unit) - NASA HR-1 7K Thin-wall Nozzle, FWD (1 unit) - JBK-75 Witness Specimens (round bars, harvest boxes, and other coupons) - Up to 1,000 pounds of JBK-75 Rotary Atomized Powder (45-105 micron PSD) - Services Requested: - LP-DED fabrication and engineering support, including approximately 1,170 hours of dedicated laser system operation, tool path generation, inspections, consumables, maintenance, and reporting - Unique/Notable Requirements: - All fabrication must use LP-DED per NASA specifications (MER07362-013 and MER07361-013) - Deliverables include as-built samples, build/inspection reports, and witness coupons - Vendor must provide engineering support and operate a dedicated 557 laser system - Sole source procurement is planned, but NASA will consider capability statements from other qualified vendors
