The Federal Bureau of Prisons at FCC Yazoo City, under the Department of Justice, is seeking a contractor to replace its non-functioning geothermal system with a new air-cooled condenser solution for the Camp Core and Education buildings. - Government Buyer: - US Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Prisons, FCC Yazoo City, MS - OEMs and Vendors: - ZIEHL-ABEGG (referenced as an example OEM for high-efficiency sickle-blade AC fan motors) - Products/Services Requested: - Three direct coil air-cooled condenser units - 16-gauge galvanized steel casing - Each unit includes two high-efficiency, 550 RPM, 800 mm diameter sickle-blade fans (e.g., ZIEHL-ABEGG) - Motors rated for 460V main power, with thermal overload and moisture protection - High heat transfer copper tube and fin coils, factory leak-tested at 600 psig - Control panel with pressure fan cycling and dual circuits - Concrete equipment pads for condenser installation - Core drilling of building walls for piping and electrical connections - Electrical and refrigerant piping connection and insulation - Refrigerant charging and installation of building automation/unit controls - Factory startup and commissioning of the new system - Unique/Notable Requirements: - All work must comply with strict security, safety, and operational protocols due to the correctional facility environment - Work hours are limited to weekdays, 7:30 am to 3:30 pm, excluding federal holidays - Contractor must provide all materials, labor, tools, and safety equipment - The original geothermal system must be capped and abandoned in place

Description

The primary objective of this project is to replace the aging and non-functioning geothermal system at the Federal Prison Camp (FPC) in Yazoo City, Mississippi (p. 1). The contractor will install a new system utilizing three air-cooled condensers to service approximately 15,500 square feet of the Camp Core and Education buildings, while capping and abandoning the original geothermal system in place (p. 1).<!--TgQPHd|[]-->

Work Hours<!--TgQPHd|[]-->: Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 3:30 pm (excluding federal holidays), with a total project timeline not to exceed 150 calendar days (pp. 3-4).<!--TgQPHd|[]--><!--TgQPHd|[]--> Security & Clothing<!--TgQPHd|[]-->: Workers must be escorted at all times (p. 3).
