Description

This notice is being published as required by FAR 5.201(b)(1).

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWC-AD) Lakehurst, NJ has identified the need to procure four (4) Eaton Pump Tests; eight (8) Eaton Flush extra flushing services and Oil Blending for the Vane Pump to support the evaluation of anti-wear properties of hydraulic fluids in support of the Nimitz Launch and Recovery - Launcher (Steam Catapults) Program.

The Government intends to procure the above items on a sole source basis to the OEM Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) (Cage 00JW9) under the authority of 10USC 2304 (c) (1), FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The solicitation, when issued, will be for a firm-fixed price contract.

THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal or quotation which may be used by the government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. A determination by the government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
