GROUP1-24-R-W001

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Wilmington District requires a contract to perform maintenance dredging of the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway, North Carolina, North Contract

The work includes maintenance dredging of the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway (AIWW) channel between Onslow County to Brunswick County, North Carolina. The maintenance dredging work will consist of removal of shoaled material that has accumulated in the channels since the various areas were last dredged. Dredging depths are from 8-12’ plus 2’ of allowable over depth for the AIWW channels.

Placement of dredged material for the AIWW channels will be on approved ocean beaches and upland placement areas. The upland placement areas are confined placement areas with containment dikes and spillway systems.

All dredging shall be performed by hydraulic cutter suction dredge. There are no known environmental dredging windows for any of the AIWW channels. The environmental windows for placement of dredged material on ocean beaches extends from 16 November to 31 March or from 16 November to 30 April depending on the beach placement area location.

This solicitation is a 100% Small Business set-aside.

The contract issued will be Firm Fixed Price.

The Magnitude of Construction of this project is between $10,000,000.00 and $25,000,000.00. 

This request for proposal will be issued in electronic format only and will be available on or about 29 June 2026. 

This solicitation is issued for the sole purpose of refreshing the pool of contractors for this particular group/pool. The contractors who already have been awarded an IDIQ MATOC are not required to submit a proposal in order to remain in the pool.

PROPOSALS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED FROM ANY ENTITY OTHER THAN THE PREVIOUSLY LISTED FIRMS INCLUDED IN THE GROUP 1 DREDGING MATOC POOL.

The proposal due date will be specified in the request for proposal when it is issued. No additional media (CD-ROM, floppy disks, facsimiles, etc.) will be provided.   Paper copies of this solicitation will not be available. Other methods of requesting a package will not be honored. 

The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 237990 – Dredging and Surface Cleanup Activities and the size standard is $37,000,000.00.
