The University of Washington is seeking qualified carriers to provide comprehensive campus shuttle services across multiple programs and routes. - Government Buyer: - University of Washington, UW Facilities, Transportation Services - Scope of Services: - Campus shuttle operations for students, staff, faculty, and patients - Three main programs: - South Lake Union (SLU) shuttle service: 2 vehicles between UW Medical Center and SLU - SLU to Harborview Medical Center shuttle: 1 vehicle - Special Events shuttle: 1-4 ADA-equipped vehicles per event (16-passenger or larger) - North Campus Circulator Pilot: 2 ADA-equipped vehicles (24-passenger or larger) connecting east campus parking lots with upper campus - Key Requirements: - All vehicles must be ADA accessible - Providers must supply drivers, supervisors, and maintain vehicles - Vehicles must be equipped with CAD/AVL (Computer-Aided Dispatch/Automatic Vehicle Location) tracking technology - Operational reporting and customer service are required - Digital accessibility (WCAG 2.1 Level AA compliance) and IT security/data processing compliance - Minimum five years’ experience in similar services and references from comparable institutions - Contract Details: - Initial term of two years, with up to three one-year renewals (maximum five years) - Firm fixed pricing for initial term; possible CPI-based adjustments for renewals - Month-to-month extension possible after contract term - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or vehicle manufacturers are named; opportunity is open to all qualified shuttle service providers - Notable Requirements: - Vehicle safety inspections and maintenance history must be provided - Compliance with University of Washington’s digital and IT security standards

Description

The University of Washington is soliciting bids from qualified licensed carriers to provide campus shuttle services for students, staff, faculty, and patients. The shuttle service will consist of three programs: South Lake Union shuttle service with two routes, Event shuttle service between various locations on the Seattle campus, and North Campus Circulator Pilot connecting east campus lots with upper campus. Bidders must have a minimum of 5 years providing similar services, be able to work in Washington State, and provide relevant references. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for June 10, 2026, via Zoom.
