This project involves cleaning and lining approximately 4.7 miles of water mains across various streets within the City of Rochester. The process includes mechanically cleaning the interior of the water mains to remove rust deposits and foreign matter, followed by applying a corrosion-resistant cement mortar lining to restore hydraulic capacity, improve fire flows, water quality, and extend the water mains' lifespan. The contract also covers the supply and maintenance of temporary bypass pipes and water service connections to affected customers, ensuring continuous water supply and fire protection during construction. Some existing water main valves and fire hydrants will be replaced, and all disturbed pavement, sidewalk, and lawn areas will be restored.
