The USDA Agricultural Research Service (ARS) is seeking to establish a sole-source, five-year IDIQ contract for advanced sequencing solutions with Pacific Biosciences of California, Inc. (PacBio). - Government Buyer: - United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Contracting Operations Branch - OEM Highlight: - Pacific Biosciences of California, Inc. (PacBio) is the exclusive manufacturer and supplier - Products and Services Requested: - Sequencing instrumentation, including Revio and Vega platforms - Proprietary supplies and reagents, such as SPRQ-NX chemistry for HiFi sequencing - Library preparation kits for various sample types (Kinnex, IsoSeq, high molecular weight DNA extraction) - Warranty and support plans for PacBio sequencing equipment - Notable Requirements: - Only PacBio's proprietary reagents and chemistry are compatible with the required sequencing platforms - Continuity of research and uninterrupted warranty support are critical - The contract supports multiple USDA REE agencies and is valued at up to $9 million over five years

The United States Department Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS) intends to award on a single source basis.

Potential sources who believe they can provide the services listed are invited to submit a quotation by the response date listed, in accordance with the instructions provided herein.  All timely responses to this solicitation will be considered, however, the determination by the Government to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely at the discretion of the Government.  

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12.  This announcement constitutes the only solicitation.  Quotations are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. 

Solicitation number 1232SA26Q0547 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for Pacific Biosciences of California, Inc. Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Contract for Equipment, Supplies, and support plans.

This acquisition  is not set-aside for small business concerns.  The applicable North American Industry Classification Standard Code is 334516  The small business size standard is 1,000 employees.  This acquisition is an unrestricted requirement.   All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the agency.
