The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) - NYC Transit (NYCT), through its Construction & Development (C&D) division, is seeking contractors for a large-scale infrastructure upgrade across 33 subway fan plant locations in New York City. - Government Buyer: MTA - NYC Transit (NYCT), MTA C&D, NYCT - Bid Reception Desk - Scope of Work: - Decommission, remove, and dispose of existing Motorized Control Cabinets (MCC) and associated wiring, cabling, and conduit - Install, test, and commission new MCCs, Supervisory Control Cabinets (SCC), Data Cabinets, Field Distribution Panels (FDP), Alternative Field Distribution Panels (AFDP), network switches, and new fiber optic cabling between SCCs, telecommunications equipment, and communication rooms - Perform asbestos surveys and abate asbestos-containing materials identified by contractor and existing surveys - Products/Services Requested: - Motorized Control Cabinets (MCC) - Supervisory Control Cabinets (SCC) - Data Cabinets - Field Distribution Panels (FDP) and Alternative Field Distribution Panels (AFDP) - Network Switches - Fiber Optic Cabling - Asbestos Survey and Abatement Services - No specific OEMs, part numbers, or quantities are provided in the solicitation - Notable Requirements: - Enhanced Utilization Credit to incentivize participation by MWBE firms - Set goals for SDVOB, MBE, and WBE participation - Vendors must be registered with SAM and have an MTA Bidder/Supplier Number

Description

This contract involves decommissioning, removing, and disposing of existing Motorized Control Cabinets (MCC) and associated wiring, cabling, and conduit, and installing, testing, and commissioning new MCCs, Supervisory Control Cabinets (SCC), and associated wiring, cabling, and conduit at thirty-three fan plant locations on seven subway lines. It also includes installing, testing, and commissioning new Data Cabinets, Field Distribution Panels (FDP), Alternative Field Distribution Panels (AFDP), and/or network switches, as well as new fiber optic cabling between SCC, telecommunications equipment, and communication rooms. Additionally, the contract requires performing asbestos surveys and abating asbestos-containing material identified by both contractor and existing surveys. The contract term is 1095 calendar days and includes opportunities for Enhanced Utilization Credit to incentivize MWBE firms.
