The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Radiation Safety Division is seeking information from industry on the capability to provide personal dosimetry services for its nationwide and international operations. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Office of Homeland Security, Radiation Safety Division - Scope of Services: - Supply, process, and manage 300–600 NVLAP-approved personal dosimeters (whole-body or extremity, OSL or USDA-approved alternate technology) monthly or quarterly - Service approximately 100 USDA locations, including both CONUS and OCONUS sites - Provide prepaid return labels and full historical dose-data management - Ensure secure, 24/7 online data management and electronic reporting of radiation exposure results - Maintain NRC-compliant, legally valid lifetime exposure records - Offer technical support for government radiation safety personnel and customer service for account, billing, reporting, and device issues - Manage distribution, timely replacement, shipping support, and shipment tracking for all dosimeters - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Dosimeters must be NVLAP-approved - Data management must be secure, confidential, and NRC/federally compliant - Ability to support a large, geographically dispersed user base - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the RFI - The RFI is for market research to validate requirements and assess industry capability prior to formal solicitation
Description
USDA’s Radiation Safety Division requires contractor support to supply, process, and manage personnel and area radiation dosimeters for approximately 100 USDA locations, CONUS and OCONUS, with an estimated 300–600 dosimeters issued monthly or quarterly.
The purpose of this RFI is to determine industry capability and interest, validate technical requirements, identify small and other than small business capabilities, and refine acquisition strategy prior to release of any solicitation.
