Caltrans is seeking multiple certified providers for hazardous materials testing and reporting services in Los Angeles and Ventura Counties. - Government Buyer: - California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), District 7/Right of Way, Division of Procurement and Contracts - Scope of Work: - As-needed hazardous materials testing and reporting for Caltrans-owned residential and commercial structures - Services include asbestos and lead-based paint surveys, sampling, testing, monitoring, analysis, and reporting - Testing methods include Polarized Light Microscopy (PLM) for asbestos and X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) for lead-based paint - Product/Service Line Items: - Asbestos survey and testing for residential structures (up to 3,500 sq. ft.; 9 units, up to 150 PLM samples each) - Additional charge per 100 sq. ft. over 3,500 sq. ft. (1 unit) - Asbestos survey and testing for commercial/multi-family structures (up to 10,000 sq. ft.; 10 units, up to 250 PLM samples each) - Additional charge per 1,000 sq. ft. over 10,000 sq. ft. (5 units) - Additional PLM samples for asbestos testing (5 units) - Point counting as requested (10 units) - Lead survey and testing for residential structures (up to 3,500 sq. ft.; 10 units, up to 500 XRF samples each) - Additional charge per 100 sq. ft. over 3,500 sq. ft. (1 unit) - Lead survey and testing for commercial/multi-family structures (up to 10,000 sq. ft.; 5 units, up to 1,200 XRF samples each) - Additional charge per 1,000 sq. ft. over 10,000 sq. ft. (1 unit) - Additional XRF samples for lead-based paint testing (1 unit) - Notable Requirements: - Providers must be certified Small Businesses (SB) or Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises (DVBE) - Personnel must hold certifications such as Certified Asbestos Consultant (CAC), Certified Site Surveillance Technician (CSST), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Lead Inspector/Assessor, and Lead Certified Project Monitor (LCPM) - Laboratory work must be performed by labs accredited by the California Department of Public Health Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program (ELAP) and the National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP) - Compliance with prevailing wage laws if total bid exceeds $15,000 - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the solicitation

Description

This solicitation is for hazardous materials testing and reporting services to be provided to Caltrans.
