Description
The Fiscal Intermediary Shared System (FISS) is a shared system used to process claims from institutional providers including hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, home health agencies, hospice, and other healthcare providers. The system handles Part A functionality such as claims collection, editing, pricing, adjudication, correspondence, online inquiry, file maintenance, financial processing, and reporting.
