Lewis County Public Works- Roads is seeking bids for the Carr Road MP 0.26-0.28 Slide Repair Project in Chehalis, Washington. - Government Buyer: - Lewis County Public Works- Roads - Project Scope: - Repair and stabilization of a landslide area along Carr Road - Structure excavation and installation of 23 permanent ground anchors (with 3 performance tests) - Construction of 85 cubic yards of gabion cribbing - Temporary shoefly detour construction - Placement of 112.5 linear feet of beam guardrail (Type 31, 9 ft. long post) - Roadway and structure excavation, gravel backfill, and crushed surfacing base course (148 tons) - Erosion and water pollution control, seeding and mulching, and installation of high visibility fencing and silt fencing - Use of construction geotextile for separation (1,815 square yards) - Installation of 172 square feet of construction signage - Products/Services Requested: - Mobilization, removal of structures, temporary traffic control, trimming and cleanup - Environmental protection measures (SPCC plan, erosion control, silt fencing, wattle, mulch) - Roadway and wall construction materials (gravel, crushed surfacing, gabion cribbing) - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Permanent ground anchor installation and testing - Gabion cribbing for slope stabilization - Temporary shoefly detour for traffic management - Disadvantaged business enterprises encouraged to participate - Bid deposit required (5% of bid amount) - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the solicitation.

Description

This contract provides for the improvement of Carr Road MP 0.26 – 0.28 landslide by performing structure excavation, permanent ground anchors, gabion cribbing, installing a temporary shoefly detour, placing guardrail and restoring shoulder along roadway and other work. The work is to be done in accordance with the attached Plans, Contract Provisions, and Standard Specifications. Sealed bids will be opened publicly at or after 12:15PM on June 25, 2026, at Lewis County Courthouse in Chehalis, Washington.
