The City of West Hollywood is seeking qualified contractors to provide comprehensive citywide tree maintenance and related services for public spaces. - Government Buyer: - City of West Hollywood, Public Works Department - Facilities & Field Services Division - Products/Services Requested: - Preventative tree maintenance (grid/district trimming) - On-call tree services: scheduled crew rental, trimming, tree removal, tree planting, and watering - Emergency tree services - Root pruning and young tree care - Tree grate and tree well installation - Supply and planting of a wide variety of tree species (e.g., Acacia aneura, Magnolia grandiflora, Quercus buckleyi, Tabebuia chrysotricha, Ulmus parvifolia, Zelkova serrata) - Notable Requirements: - Contractors must hold a valid California C-49 Tree and Palm Contractor license (C-27 Landscaping, Timber Operator, and Nursery licenses are highly desirable) - Minimum five years of public works contract experience - Union labor required for trade employees - Must self-perform at least 50% of contract work - Qualified biologist on staff or under contract - Membership in professional trade associations is highly desirable - Compliance with prevailing wage and living wage ordinances - All labor, materials, equipment, insurance, bonding, and permits to be provided by contractor - No specific OEMs or commercial vendors are named; the procurement is open to all qualified bidders able to meet the requirements.

Description

The City of West Hollywood is seeking to award one or more maintenance contracts for preventative and on-call tree maintenance services at various citywide locations. The contract includes preventative maintenance such as grid/district trimming, on-call services including scheduled crew rental, trimming, tree removal, planting, watering, emergency services, root pruning, young tree care, tree grate/tree well installation, and other related tree services. The initial contract term is 3 years with three 3-year renewal options. A C-49 license is required to perform the work.
