The Port of Tacoma is seeking contractors for on-call pavement repairs and related civil work across its properties. - Government Buyer: - Port of Tacoma (Sr. Director, Engineering: Thais Howard, PE) - Scope of Work: - On-call pavement repairs, including asphalt and concrete paving, civil work, fencing, alterations, additions, and repairs - Work assigned via Task Orders with no guaranteed minimum quantity - Includes both standard and night/weekend work - Products and Materials Requested: - Asphalt paving (various tonnage categories) - Concrete repair (various tonnage categories) - Crushed surfacing (base and top course), gravel base and borrow - Geotextile fabric, crack sealant, asphalt seal coat - Pavement striping and painting (including speed bumps, disabled parking) - Chain link fencing and gates - Embedded structure adjustments (manholes, valve boxes, catch basins) - Equipment and Services: - Equipment rental with operators (skid-steer loader, street sweeper, water truck, dump truck) - Plant opening fees for off-hours work - Management of regulated materials (Subtitle D) - Quantities: - Detailed line items with specific quantities for each product and service (e.g., 400 tons of asphalt paving, 2,500 units of crack sealant, 1,000 units of striping) - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Mandatory 15% apprenticeship participation for projects estimated at $1 million or more - Incentive or penalty fees based on apprenticeship compliance - Work may occur during nights and weekends - Liquidated damages for late completion - No specific OEMs or proprietary brands required; open to standard construction materials and methods - Estimated Contract Value: - Not to exceed $1,500,000 (plus Washington State Sales Tax)

Description

This solicitation is for on-call pavement repairs at the Port of Tacoma. The work includes providing all labor, equipment, and materials necessary for paving, general civil work, fencing, alterations, additions, and repairs as requested by the Engineer on Port of Tacoma property. Work will be assigned by Task Orders specifying scope and completion time, with no guaranteed amount of work. The estimated contract value is not to exceed $1,500,000 plus Washington State Sales Tax.
