The City of Dallas, Georgia Public Works Department is seeking bids for the Shiloh Church Water Line Improvements and Sewer Service Connection project, funded by the Downtown Development Authority. - Government Buyer: - City of Dallas Public Works Department - Project managed by Brandon Rakestraw - Scope of Work: - Installation of approximately 440 linear feet of 8-inch water main - Jack and bore installation of 70 linear feet of 16-inch steel casing (0.250-inch wall) - Installation of 8-inch restrained joint ductile iron pipe within steel casing - Installation of 370 linear feet of 8-inch PVC C900 DR 18 water main - Installation of ductile iron mechanical joint tees and bends, 8-inch gate valves, plug ends, and concrete deadman - Connection and installation of 2-inch PEX-A water service line, meter setter, backflow preventer, and related valves - Installation of 8-inch fire meter precast concrete vault with all required fire protection components - Installation of fire hydrant and connection to new main - Connection and installation of 6-inch PVC SDR 26 sewer service to existing 8-inch sewer main, including cleanout - Aggregate for bedding/backfill, solid rock excavation (if needed), traffic control, and erosion & sediment control - Products/Materials Requested: - Ductile iron pipe and fittings, PVC pipe (C900 DR 18 and SDR 26), steel casing, PEX-A water service line, fire meter vault, fire hydrant, valves, meter setter, backflow preventer, aggregate, and related installation materials - Quantities: - 440 LF water main, 70 LF steel casing, 370 LF PVC water main, 20 LF 2-inch PEX-A, 30 LF 6-inch PVC sewer, and various valves, tees, and fittings - Notable Requirements: - Bidders must hold a valid Georgia utility contractor license and be on the City of Dallas approved list - Strict adherence to project specifications and standards - Project must be substantially complete within 30 days of Notice to Proceed, with final completion in 60 days - Liquidated damages of $500 per day for delays beyond substantial completion - All required bonds and forms must be submitted - No specific OEMs or vendors are named; materials must meet project specifications

The City of Dallas is soliciting competitive sealed bids from qualified, responsive, and responsible bidders who hold an active utility contractors license within the state of Georgia and are currently listed on the City of Dallas approved utility contractors list. The procurement is for the purchase and installation of water lines and sewer service connection for the Shiloh Church water line improvement and sewer service connection project. This project is funded by the City of Dallas Downtown Development Authority. Bids are due by 10:00 am on July 15, 2026, and will be publicly opened at Dallas City Hall.
