The National Park Service, Nicodemus National Historic Site, is seeking experienced contractors to refinish the historic oak strip wood flooring in the Township Hall in Kansas. - Government Buyer: - Department of the Interior, National Park Service, Nicodemus National Historic Site - OEMs and Vendors: - BONA (manufacturer of BONA HD polyurethane finish) - NWFA (National Wood Flooring Association) certified oak flooring specified - Products/Services Requested: - Refinish approximately 2,350 sq ft of oak strip wood flooring - Provide 175 linear feet of perimeter relief cuts - Repair/replace 5 sq ft of damaged wood planks and subfloor - Apply three coats of water-based BONA HD high-traffic clear polyurethane finish (commercial satin sheen) - Install 175 linear feet of new baseboards matching existing wood paneling - Historic wood floor refinishing services, including sanding, finish removal, repair, and finishing - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Contractor must have at least five years of experience in historic wood floor restoration - All work must comply with the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for historic preservation - Use of NWFA-certified oak flooring and BONA HD polyurethane finish is required - Compliance with Buy American construction material provisions - No work allowed during the annual Homecoming Emancipation Celebration - Detailed project schedule required; weather delays may be considered for schedule extensions
