Description

The City of Houston Housing and Community Development Department (HCD) seeks applications from qualified nonprofit organizations to become certified Community Housing Development Organizations (CHDOs) and develop new, resilient, energy-efficient single-family homes for sale to income-eligible First-Time Homebuyers using HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) funds. Applicants must demonstrate the capacity to design, construct, market, and sell homes to households at or below 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI) and must propose a construction-ready project with evidence of site control. Applications will be reviewed and scored to select one or more CHDOs and their proposed projects based on the criteria outlined in this NOFA.
