The City of Jurupa Valley Public Works/Engineering Department is seeking bids for the Granite Hill Area Safe Routes to School (SRTS) Sidewalk Gap Closure Project, a major public infrastructure initiative. - Government Buyer: - City of Jurupa Valley, Engineering Department, Public Works/City Engineer - Project Scope: - Construction and rehabilitation of sidewalks, curbs, gutters, driveways, cross gutters, ADA-compliant curb ramps, and stairways on Granite Hill Drive, Lindsay Street, Campbell Avenue, and Hastings Boulevard - Asphalt concrete (AC) pavement rehabilitation, including grind and overlay, removal and replacement, and full-depth slot paving - Installation of new storm drains, catch basins, reinforced concrete pipes (RCP) in 18", 24", and 30" diameters, and related drainage improvements - Utility relocations (power poles, guy wires, water meters, fire hydrants, mailboxes, signs, and sewer manholes) - Traffic control, striping, pavement markings, signage, and construction surveying - Restoration of landscaping and irrigation systems - Water pipeline improvements coordinated with Jurupa Community Services District (JCSD) - Products/Services Requested: - Extensive list of construction materials and services, including: - 47,800 sq ft of concrete sidewalk - 12,790 linear feet of concrete curb & gutter - 53,500 sq ft of residential driveway approaches - 22 ADA-compliant curb ramps - 2 concrete stairways - 3,930 cubic yards of crushed aggregate base - 1,640 tons of full-depth AC slot paving - 7 catch basins, 46 tree removals/replantings, 13 fire hydrant relocations, and more - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Compliance with California prevailing wage laws and SB 854 - Community Workforce Agreement with union labor provisions - Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) implementation - Liquidated damages of $1,000 per calendar day for late completion - Contractor must hold a California 'A' license and provide a 10% bid bond - Project funded by ATP, Measure A, and RMRA (SB1) funds - No specific OEMs or commercial vendors are named in the solicitation; standard construction materials and methods are specified.
