The City of Raleigh Engineering Services Department is seeking bids for the Sertoma Arts Center Improvements Project. - Project scope includes: - Demolition of 1,398 square feet of an existing two-story arts center building - Renovation of the remaining portion of the 12,629 square foot facility - Construction of a new one-story, 9,399 square foot addition - The improved facility will provide: - Vocational arts classrooms (painting, ceramics, fibers, youth arts) - Multipurpose room and support spaces - Construction details: - Existing structure: load-bearing masonry and steel frame - New addition: steel-framed, Type VB construction, fully sprinklered, designed for non-separated business and assembly occupancy - Upgrades and installations required: - Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems - Fire sprinkler and alarm systems - Bid packages cover: - Masonry, structural steel, finish carpentry, wood framing, roofing, fiber cement siding, framing and drywall, acoustical ceiling, specialties, lockers, aluminum canopies, acoustical wall panels, window treatments, elevators, fire protection, plumbing, and landscaping - Bidders must: - Be prequalified and licensed in North Carolina - Demonstrate good faith efforts to meet a 15% MWBE participation goal - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the solicitation

This project involves the demolition of 1,398 square feet of an existing two-story, 12,629 square feet arts center building and the renovation of the remaining structure.
