The State of Alaska Department of Public Safety, Aircraft Section, is seeking qualified providers for comprehensive avionics maintenance services for its aircraft fleet. - Government Buyer: - State of Alaska, Department of Public Safety, Aircraft Section - Aircraft Supported: - Cessna - Airbus H125 - Piper PA-18 - Robinson R44 - Services Requested: - Scheduled and unscheduled avionics maintenance - Repairs, component replacement, and installation of new/used avionics equipment - Rewiring of aging aircraft electrical systems - Avionics software updates - Avionics systems certifications - Off-site and emergency maintenance support (statewide, excluding Fairbanks) - Labor and Parts: - Bidders must provide labor rates for both scheduled (1,000 hours/year) and unscheduled (100 hours/year) maintenance - Contractor pricing for parts, evaluated by percentage mark-up - Notable Requirements: - Providers must hold relevant FAA certifications and demonstrate prior experience - Valid Alaska business license required before contract award - Compliance with state and federal civil rights and equal opportunity laws - Registration with the procurement officer is required to receive amendments - Contract Structure: - Firm fixed price contract - Initial term of two years, with five optional one-year renewals

Description

The Department of Public Safety (DPS), Aircraft Section is soliciting bids for maintenance providers on DPS aircraft avionics primarily in Anchorage, Alaska. The provider must also be able to support offsite or emergency maintenance statewide, except in Fairbanks, Alaska, on an as-needed basis. Bids must be submitted by 12:00 p.m. Alaska Time on June 17, 2026, and the bid opening will be held virtually. Registration with the Procurement Officer is required to receive notifications of amendments.
