The City of Buffalo Department of Public Works, Buildings Division is seeking qualified architectural, engineering, and construction management firms for a city-wide facilities master planning and building records augmentation initiative. - Government Buyer: - City of Buffalo, Department of Public Works, Buildings Division - Scope of Work: - Develop a comprehensive Master Plan for over 200 municipal buildings (totaling 4+ million square feet) - Conduct building conditions assessments, including life-safety and imminent failure concerns - Prepare capital improvements master plans with immediate and long-term recommendations - Perform 3D building scanning (point cloud, BIM modeling) and provide deliverables in open and Autodesk-native formats - Geotag high-value building assets and integrate with GIS for asset management - Augment and organize building records, both digital and physical - Key Requirements: - Assessments must be performed under direct oversight of licensed or senior design professionals with at least 15 years of experience - Prior experience in conditions assessments, building scanning, and capital planning is required - MWBE (Minority/Women Business Enterprise) participation goal of 30% - Deliverables include detailed reports, scans, BIM models, GIS-integrated asset inventories, and public presentations - Ability to provide virtual coordination and quarterly briefings - Contract may be extended to other city departments and may include detailed design and construction administration services, especially for emergency projects - No specific OEMs or vendors are named; the opportunity is open to qualified firms

Description

The City of Buffalo is seeking architectural, engineering, and/or construction management firms to provide services for two objectives: a comprehensive Master Plan and buildings records augmentation. The work includes building conditions assessments, capital improvements master planning, building scanning, and capital planning. The contract term is four years with three one-year extensions. The City requires assessments to be performed under the oversight of licensed or senior design professionals with over 15 years of experience in their building-related field.
