The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), through its National Center for Explosives Training and Research (NCETR), is procuring explosives and explosive products for the Advanced Explosives Disposal Techniques (AEDT) course. - Government Buyer: - Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) - National Center for Explosives Training and Research (NCETR) - Office of Management - Acquisitions Management Division - OEMs and Vendors: - MAXAM (manufacturer of MAXAM/RIODET Blasting Caps) - Products Requested: - MAXAM/RIODET Blasting Caps, 12" (Part Number: BE 12-INST-50), 154 boxes (50 per box) - Blasting Cap-Fuze Type High Strength (Part Number: BF-50), 20 boxes (50 per box) - Comp A5 Pellets, 12 cases (50 lbs per case, total 600 lbs) - 1.1 TNT Granular/Flaked, 60 cases (50 lbs per case, total 600 lbs) - Unique/Notable Requirements: - All items must be within one year of manufacture at delivery (date shift code required) - Delivery required within 90 days of contract award - Delivery location: Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, or pickup within 250 miles - Brand and packaging are integral to course curriculum and instructional requirements - Total small business set-aside; award based on lowest price technically acceptable - Estimated contract value: Mid five-figure to low six-figure range, based on quantities and product types - Period of performance: Base year with delivery required within 90 days after award

Description

The explosive brand name is required to illustrate a specific teaching point which enhances the current curriculum of the AEDT course. This includes the packaging material used for transporting supplies. AEDT utilizes the type of packaging as a learning point for students in the program.

AEDT utilizes multiple different manufacturers of explosives. Our curriculum addresses multiple different types of explosives. The shot layouts have been designed for disposal, and the accompanying mathematical calculations necessitate a specific brand to be used.

Note: all of the items must have a date shift code within a year of manufacture at the time of delivery.

Items must be delivered to the Redstone Arsenal unless pickup can be arranged within 250 miles of the Redstone Arsenal.
