Description

Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Troop Support Philadelphia intends to issue a full and open Request for Quote (RFQ) for the acquisition of one NSN, 3990-00-930-1480 (Cargo Pallet Cover), under solicitation number SPE8EG-26-Q-0008.  This item is manufactured to a Commercial Item Description (CID), A-A-55437 Type I.

The acquisition is for a one-time large procurement for a quantity of 16,400 RO with a 50% and 100% quantity option.  This procurement will use the procedures of 41 U.S.C. 1901, as implemented by Class Deviation 2026-O0028 – Revolutionary Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Overhaul Part 12, Defense FAR Supplement (DFARS) Part 212 and Revolutionary FAR Overhaul Part 12.201-1, Simplified procedures, for acquisition described at 12.001(c).  A price only approach will be utilized.  Any resultant contract will be awarded to the responsible offeror, offering the lowest evaluated price, taking no exceptions to the terms and conditions set forth in the solicitation, including offering an item that complies with the applicable item description. 

Delivery terms will be Freight on Board (F.O.B.) Origin.  Inspection & Acceptance (I/A) will take place at Destination.

The synopsis should NOT be considered a Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Quotation (RFQ), or an Invitation for Bid (IFB).  The Government is in no way obligated to purchase any material as a result of this notice.

The estimated release date of this solicitation is June 15, 2026.  This date is subject to change.  A copy of the solicitation will be made available through the DLA Internet Bid Board System (DIBBS), https://www.dibbs.bsm.dla.mil/.  All responsible sources will be able to submit a proposal which will be considered by DLA Troop Support.

NOTE: Copies of the solicitation package will not become available until the solicitation issue date.
