Description
This solicitation is issued by the Department of Commerce for the Austin FY 2021 – FY 2023 EDA Planning and Local Technical Assistance project. The Economic Development Administration (EDA) seeks applications for its Planning and Local Technical Assistance programs to support economic development, foster job creation, and attract private investment in economically distressed areas. The Planning program includes Partnership Planning, Short-Term Planning, and State Planning awards to create and implement regional economic development plans. The Local Technical Assistance program provides awards to strengthen the capacity of local or State organizations, institutions of higher education, and other eligible entities to undertake and promote effective economic development programs through projects such as feasibility studies, impact analyses, disaster resiliency plans, and project planning. Eligible applicants include designated District Organizations, Indian Tribes, political subdivisions, institutions of higher education, and nonprofit organizations acting in cooperation with political subdivisions. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis until funds are expended or the NOFO is cancelled.
