Description

The University of California, Berkeley intends to repatriate certain cultural items that are objects of cultural patrimony and have a cultural affiliation with Indian Tribes or Native Hawaiian organizations. The items include three jars, one vessel, and one Pueblo stone image originating from the Pueblo of Pojoaque, New Mexico. Repatriation may occur on or after July 6, 2026. Requests for repatriation can be submitted by lineal descendants, Indian Tribes, or Native Hawaiian organizations showing cultural affiliation.
