Description
Sonoma State University has completed an inventory of associated funerary objects in accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA). The inventory identified 35 associated funerary objects with cultural affiliation to Indian Tribes or Native Hawaiian organizations. These objects were removed from various sites in Lake County, California, and have been held by the university since 1976. The notice details the types of objects and the affiliated tribes, and provides instructions for submitting repatriation requests. Repatriation may occur on or after July 6, 2026.
