This notice announces the completion of an inventory of Native American human remains at Indiana University, in compliance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA). - Government buyer: - Indiana University, in coordination with the Department of the Interior and the National Park Service - No products, services, OEMs, or vendors are being solicited or awarded - Inventory identified human remains of at least one individual of Native American ancestry - Culturally affiliated with: - Jena Band of Choctaw Indians - Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians - The Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma - No associated funerary objects are present - Notice outlines the process for repatriation requests from eligible Indian Tribes, Native Hawaiian organizations, or lineal descendants - This is not a procurement or solicitation for goods or services

Description

Indiana University has completed an inventory of human remains in accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA). The inventory identified human remains representing at least one individual of Native American ancestry, culturally affiliated with the Jena Band of Choctaw Indians, Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians, and The Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. There are no associated funerary objects present. Repatriation of the human remains may occur on or after July 6, 2026.
