Description

This Request for Proposals (RFP) provides funding through the Climate Smart Food Systems program to support Native-led organizations working with Native populations off reservation lands on projects related to food sovereignty that reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Eligible organizations must meet at least two of three criteria related to Native American leadership and service population. Projects should improve food security and economic prosperity in Low-Income and Disadvantaged Communities while strengthening Tribal Food Sovereignty and reducing GHG emissions. The grant awards range from $50,000 to $250,000 with an estimated total funding of approximately $4 million, and projects must be completed by April 1, 2029.
