The County of San Diego Department of General Services is seeking to establish a standing list of qualified firms for as-needed vehicle repair, maintenance, and parts services for its fleet. - Government Buyer: - County of San Diego, Department of General Services, Department of Purchasing and Contracting - Scope of Work: - As-needed vehicle repair, maintenance, and supply of parts for a wide range of County vehicles and equipment - Services include labor, parts (OEM or equivalent), and secure storage of County vehicles during repairs - Categories include: - Wheel alignment, suspension repair, heating/air conditioning, auto electrical systems - Electric cart repair, small engine/pump repair, hydraulic lift systems, hydraulic hoses and component repairs - Mobile lock and key service, radiator repair, refrigeration mobile unit services, generator services - Smog inspection and certification, transmission service and repair, truck body installation, unit decaling, upholstery - Welding and fabrication, mobile repair fire apparatus services, fire pump testing, ground ladder testing - Mobile tire service, mobile detailing, auto glass repair/replacement, fire suppression equipment services, UTV services - Vehicle and/or equipment parts supply - Products/Services Requested: - No specific OEMs, part numbers, or quantities specified at this stage - Both OEM and equivalent parts are acceptable - Notable Requirements: - Timely service and compliance with County certification requirements - Secure storage of vehicles during repair - Prequalification is for prime contractors; subcontractors do not need to be prequalified - The County may add vendors to the list during the contract term - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the solicitation, but the opportunity is open to all qualified firms capable of providing the required services and parts.

Description

The County of San Diego is seeking Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from firms interested in providing as-needed vehicle repair, maintenance, and/or parts. Qualified firms will be placed on a standing list through September 14, 2028, making them eligible to participate in subsequent Requests for Bids, Proposals, or Quotes during that period. The solicitation encourages firms with existing contracts to respond for a contract valid through September 14, 2028. The County reserves the right to conduct supplemental RFSQs to add additional offerors to the pre-qualified list as needed.
