The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is seeking to procure a new Utility Task Vehicle (UTV) for wildland fire operations at the Balcones Canyonlands National Wildlife Refuge in Texas. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS), Balcones Canyonlands National Wildlife Refuge, Balcones Fire Zone - FWS SAT Team 2, Falls Church VA - OEMs and Vendors: - Can-Am (OEM of the referenced Defender 6x6 XT HD10 UTV) - Products/Services Requested: - One (1) new UTV, specifically a Can-Am Defender 6x6 XT HD10 (part number 0009RTA00) or equal - Must have 900-1100 cc engine, all-wheel drive, belt drive transmission with low range, tandem rear axles - Minimum 4,500 lbs winch, ROPS-approved cage, full hard roof, power lift bed - Color: Compass Green or Stealth Black - Suitable for wildland fire operations - Trade-in of one (1) 2022 Can-Am Defender 6x6 XT (963 hours, minor cosmetic damage) - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Acceptance of the trade-in vehicle is a condition of award - 'Brand Name or Equal' provision allows for equivalent UTVs from other manufacturers - Evaluation based on technical specifications, lead time, past performance, and price - Delivery required by end of performance period
