Description

The City of McAllen is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide services for transitioning Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) vehicles from aqueous film-forming foam (AFFF) to fluorine-free foam (F3). The project includes draining and removal of AFFF from four ARFF vehicles, rinsing and cleaning the tank interiors and associated systems, recalibrating three vehicles, and refilling the foam tanks with fluorine-free foam (F3). The solicitation requires submission of a Bidder’s Bond or certified Cashier’s Check of at least $5,000. A pre-submittal conference is scheduled for June 18, 2026, and proposals are due by June 25, 2026.
