The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) is seeking a contractor to provide statewide transportation services for vehicles, equipment, and materials across its correctional institutions and facilities. - Government Buyer: - California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) - Office of Business Services, Contracts Management Branch, Division of Administrative Services - Scope of Services: - Transportation of light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles, equipment, and materials - Includes both operational and non-operational assets - Services required at multiple CDCR locations, grouped into 20 service groups - Loading, securing, transporting, and delivering assets to specified locations, including auctions and other CDCR sites - Scheduling and coordination with CDCR contract liaisons - Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations - Use of subcontractors permitted with prior approval - Compensation: - Rates specified by asset weight class and mileage in Exhibit B-1 Rate Sheet - All costs (labor, transportation, materials, permits, licenses, taxes, fees, shipping/freight) must be included in rates - Notable Requirements: - No minimum guaranteed quantities; services are provided on an as-needed basis - Encouragement and preference for small businesses, microbusinesses, and Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises (DVBE) - No specific OEMs or product manufacturers are named in the solicitation

Description

This solicitation is for a Master Agreement to provide vehicle, equipment, and/or material transportation services for Light, Medium, and Heavy-Duty asset classes as specified in the Exhibit B-1 Rate Sheet. The contractor will be compensated according to the rates in the Exhibit B-1 Rate Sheet, which includes all labor, transportation, materials, permits, licenses, taxes, fees, and other necessary expenses. Services are to be provided for the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) locations listed in Exhibit E, List of Participating Locations. Bidders are encouraged to consider programs and preferences for small businesses, disadvantaged businesses, disabled veteran businesses, and other covered businesses.
