Shared Services Canada (SSC) is launching a pre-qualification process for Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) to provide Virtual Hosting Solutions for the Government of Canada's on-premises x86 environments. - Government Buyer: - Shared Services Canada (SSC), also referenced as Services Partags Canada - Contracting office located at 360 Lisgar St., Ottawa, ON - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or product brands are named at this stage - Only ISVs that develop, own, and maintain the intellectual property of their virtualization software are eligible to respond - Products/Services Requested: - Enterprise-scale on-premises x86 virtualization software solutions - Solutions must support large-scale deployments (potentially up to 150,000 virtual machines on 1,000+ servers) - Strict requirements for security, data residency, and operational continuity - Demonstrated experience with migration and disaster recovery solutions achieving recovery time objectives of less than 30 minutes across multiple physical locations - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Only ISVs (not resellers, managed service providers, or cloud service providers) may respond at this stage - Respondents must own and maintain the software IP - This is a pre-qualification (ITQ) phase; no contracts will be awarded at this stage - The process will proceed to a Review and Refine Requirements phase and then a competitive solicitation (RFP) - Anticipated contract(s) may last up to 10 years and could involve multiple awards

Shared Services Canada (SSC) is advancing the modernization of the Government of Canada's on-premises virtualization footprint across enterprise data centres and regional or edge environments. This Invitation to Qualify (ITQ) is the first phase of a procurement process for Virtual Hosting Solutions for enterprise on-premises x86 environments. Suppliers are invited to pre-qualify to become Qualified Respondents for later phases of the procurement process. This ITQ is not a solicitation of bids or tenders and no contract will be awarded during this phase.
