BC Parks is seeking qualified contractors to complete fuel management treatments in Treatment Unit 2 (TU 2) of Silver Star Park, near the Silver Star Mountain Resort boundary. The project aims to reduce wildfire risk to adjacent recreation areas and nearby residential interface, while improving public safety and forest resilience. The work covers approximately 7.8 hectares and involves hand treatment methods due to steep terrain, including understory thinning, pruning to reduce ladder fuels, and surface fuel reduction through piling and burning.
