The California Department of Technology (CDT) is seeking bids for a large-scale HVAC system replacement and upgrade project at eleven Digital 395 (D395) Hut locations supporting the Middle-Mile Broadband Initiative in California and Nevada. - Government Buyer: - California Department of Technology (CDT), Acquisition & IT Program Management Branch, MMBI - OEMs and Vendors: - BARD (or equivalent) is specified as the required or acceptable manufacturer for HVAC units - Products/Services Requested: - Replacement of two 5-ton HVAC units with two 6-ton BARD (or equivalent) units at each of eleven D395 Hut sites - Addition of a 4-ton BARD (or equivalent) unit at four backbone sites (Barstow, Ridgecrest, Independence, Reno) for a 2N+1 redundancy configuration - Installation of motorized isolation dampers integrated with fire suppression control panels - Provision of all controls, relays, wiring, and programming for integrated HVAC system operation - Removal of existing units, installation of new equipment, ductwork upgrades, and necessary electrical/plumbing work - Provision of temporary 5-ton cooling units during installation - Start-up, testing, calibration, and commissioning of new HVAC units per manufacturer recommendations - Delivery of closeout documentation including as-built drawings, equipment submittals, commissioning reports, warranty documentation, O&M manuals, and photos - Onsite training for operation and maintenance - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Mandatory contractor licenses: C-20 HVAC, C-10 Electrical, C-36 Plumbing, and EPA 608 Certification - 2N+1 redundancy configuration at backbone sites for enhanced reliability - Integration of HVAC controls with fire suppression systems - Temporary cooling required to maintain operations during installation - Comprehensive closeout documentation and onsite training - Locations: - Eleven D395 Hut sites in Barstow, Ridgecrest, Olancha, Independence, Bishop, Mammoth Lakes, Lee Vining, Bridgeport, Coleville, Carson City, and Reno - All work to be performed at these specific facility addresses
