The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research (CBER), is seeking to upgrade its Leica DMi8 confocal microscope to enhance fluorescence and live-cell imaging capabilities. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) - Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research (CBER) - Office of Vaccine Research and Review (OVRR), Laboratory of Bacterial Parasitic & Allergenic Products (DBPAP) - OEMs and Vendors: - Leica (OEM of the existing microscope) - CICERO (referenced as the spinning disk upgrade kit or equal) - Products/Services Requested: - One (1) CICERO Spinning Disk or equal upgrade kit for Leica DMi8 microscope (S/N: 526325) - Must be new, turnkey, and fully integrated with the existing Leica DMi8 - Includes installation by certified personnel, user training, and warranty - Two (2) optional annual preventive maintenance and repair service agreements (Option Years 1 and 2) - Covers Leica DMi8 microscope, CICERO spinning disk components, and THUNDER imager system - Includes labor, travel, parts, software/firmware updates, and technical support - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Upgrade kit must be compatible with Leica DMi8 (S/N: 526325) - System must be delivered FOB Destination to FDA CBER OVRR DBPAP - Installation, training, and warranty are mandatory - Preventive maintenance options extend support beyond the initial warranty period
