Santa Barbara County Association of Governments (SBCAG) is seeking a consultant to conduct a comprehensive North County Transit Study for northern Santa Barbara County. - Government Buyer: - Santa Barbara County Association of Governments (SBCAG) - Scope of Work: - Professional services to develop and deliver a transit study - Update and analyze existing transit plans and services from 2006 and 2016 - Collaborate with local cities (Buellton, Guadalupe, Lompoc, Santa Maria, Solvang), Santa Barbara County, Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians, Santa Maria Organization of Transportation Helpers (SMOOTH), and Vandenberg Space Force Base - Data collection, public outreach, forecasting, scenario development, and stakeholder engagement - Review of operational and capital transit needs, organizational structure, and funding opportunities - Recommendations for service improvement, consolidation, and regional/interregional transit enhancements - Products/Services Requested: - No specific OEMs or products; procurement is for consulting and professional services only - Main deliverable is a comprehensive transit study report - Notable Requirements: - Coordination with multiple local agencies and advisory committees - Emphasis on both operational and capital transit needs - Inclusion of federal facility (Vandenberg Space Force Base) in the study area

Description

The Santa Barbara County Association of Governments (SBCAG) is seeking a qualified offeror to develop and deliver a transit study for northern Santa Barbara County. The study will update the 2006 and 2016 North Santa Barbara County Transit Plans in partnership with local cities, the county, community members, transit riders, and other partners. The study aims to review existing transit services, identify opportunities for improvement, consolidation, and funding, and develop recommendations for regional and interregional transit enhancements. The project includes data collection, analysis, scenario development, stakeholder engagement, and final presentation and documentation scheduled for March 2028.
