Description
The Federal Civil Penalties Inflation Adjustment Act Improvements Act of 2015 requires annual adjustment of civil monetary penalties (CMPs) for inflation based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI-U). This notice announces the continuance of the 2025 CMP levels for the calendar year 2026 due to the inability to produce October 2025 CPI-U data caused by a government shutdown. The 2025 penalty levels will remain applicable through January 14, 2027.
