NOAA Matching Fund Opportunity for Ocean, Coastal, and Great Lakes Mapping Projects

NOAA is inviting non-Federal partners to participate in jointly-funded ocean, coastal, and Great Lakes mapping projects under the Brennan Ocean Mapping Fund. - Government Buyer: - National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Department of Commerce - National Ocean Service, Office of Coast Survey - Eligible Partners: - State and local governments, tribal entities, universities, NGOs, and private sector organizations - Funding Structure: - Partners must provide at least 30% of project funds; NOAA will match up to 70% - Maximum project value is $1 million - Products and Services Requested: - Acquisition of mapping data (bathymetric data, side scan sonar imagery, multibeam echosounder, lidar) - Feature detection reports, sensor/data corrections, survey and control services - High-resolution topographic/bathymetric products - Data processing, quality assurance, and final project reports - Data management and public archiving - Unique Requirements: - Projects must align with national mapping priorities (e.g., unmapped U.S. waters, Alaska coastal data) - Use of NOAA's geospatial contracting vehicles and pre-qualified technical experts - All data and products will be made publicly accessible - Strict submission and matching fund requirements - No specific OEMs or vendors are named; NOAA will contract with qualified survey contractors - Place of Performance: - U.S. waters and coasts, with emphasis on Alaska - NOAA and Department of Commerce offices serve as contracting authorities
