The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is amending Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 204 to exclude vehicles certified to the frontal barrier crash protection requirements of FMVSS No. 208 from the steering control rearward displacement standard. The amendment removes obsolete regulatory text and updates the standard to reflect current safety requirements.
