Description
The Coast Guard will enforce a safety zone for a fireworks display launched from a barge on the Upper Potomac River at Washington, DC to ensure safety on navigable waterways. The enforcement is based on the regulation for recurring safety zones within the USCG East District, specifying the precise location. During the enforcement period, vessels are prohibited from entering, remaining in, or transiting through the safety zone unless authorized by the Captain of the Port (COTP) or their representative. Vessels in the vicinity must comply with directions from the Patrol Commander or any Official Patrol displaying a Coast Guard ensign.
