Description
The City of Charleston is seeking an engineering firm to prepare preliminary designs for the Newmarket Creek Restoration Project located on the eastside of the Charleston peninsula. The project aims to develop nature-based solutions to restore saltmarsh, floodplain, and wetlands within a creek's drainage basin and reduce chronic flooding in the lowest parts of the Eastside and East Central Neighborhoods. The consultant will evaluate potential project components, develop conceptual cost/benefit analyses, and prepare designs, permits, and construction plans. The project is funded in part by the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation – National Coastal Resilience Fund, and the consultant should meet Small Business Enterprise (SBE) guidelines established by the City.
