Description

This Request for Proposals (RFP) solicits offers from qualified insurance professionals to provide consulting services to the City of Rocky Mount in support of its health benefits programs. Services include reviewing insurance coverage, marketing and placement of insurance, reviewing vendor contracts, coordinating with benefits service providers, participating in management benefits committee meetings, acting as a liaison with insurance companies, developing communication materials, and performing actuarial services. The current benefit programs include group medical, dental, vision, life insurance, a defined benefit retirement plan, and other optional benefits. Medical insurance is administered by Aetna Inc., a self-insured POS plan, with other insurances placed by a third-party consultant.
