The Town of Little Elm, Texas is seeking bids for the Bigleaf Water Line Improvements Project, which involves significant water infrastructure upgrades: - Government Buyer: - Town of Little Elm, Texas (Purchasing Office and Public Works Department) - Products and Construction Scope: - Design and construction of approximately 1,400 linear feet of 24-inch water transmission line (AWWA C200 standard) - Installation of approximately 285 linear feet of 8-inch AWWA C900 DR-18 PVC water line - Replacement of at least 9 linear feet of sanitary sewer line with C900 DR-25 pressure-rated pipe - Installation of fire hydrants (Mueller or Waterous), resilient seated gate valves (Mueller or Waterous), valve boxes, combination air valve manhole and pad, and insulating flange kits - Polyethylene encasement wrap for ductile iron pipe, fittings, and valves - Concrete restoration: 2,629 square yards of pavement, 1,000 linear feet of curb, and 27 linear feet of sidewalk - Services Requested: - Full construction services including excavation, installation, testing, disinfection, restoration, traffic and erosion control, and utility coordination - Full panel replacement for any pavement disturbed during construction, following Town standards - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Compliance with Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) and American Water Works Association (AWWA) standards - Submission of bid, performance, payment, and maintenance bonds - Adherence to prevailing wage rates and insurance requirements - Coordination with Town authorities and restoration of all disturbed areas - OEMs and Vendors: - Fire hydrants and gate valves specified as Mueller or Waterous brands - Locations: - Work to be performed from Mansell Pump Station, along Bigleaf Drive, to near FM 423, with key facilities including the Public Works Service Center and Town Hall

Description

The Town of Little Elm, Texas is requesting proposals for the construction of the Bigleaf Water Line Improvements Project. The project includes the final design of approximately 1400 linear feet of 24-inch water transmission line from the Mansell Pump Station through Bigleaf Drive to a connection near the intersection of Bigleaf Drive and FM 423. Additionally, a new parallel 8-inch water line will be designed, and water services will be moved from the existing 20-inch water line to the proposed 8-inch water line.
