Description
The District of North Vancouver invites proposals from qualified fuel treatment and forest operations contractors to undertake operational fuel treatment works in parkland and interface forest areas within the District. The work includes hazard tree removal, thinning from below, surface fuel reduction, pruning, and debris removal. This project is a provincially approved operational wildfire risk-reduction initiative, jointly funded by the Union of BC Municipalities Community Resiliency Investment Program and the District of North Vancouver. The contract covers all labour, materials, equipment, supervision, and incidentals necessary to complete the works in accordance with approved prescriptions, drawings, and applicable regulations. The total treatment area is 32.8 hectares divided into two units: Seymour River (3.8 ha) and Indian River Drive (29.0 ha).
