Description
This solicitation is for Construction Manager/General Contractor (CMGC) services for the South of Salinas Corridor Improvement Project on US Route 101 in Monterey County, California. The project involves converting a segment of Route 101 from an expressway to a full access control freeway, including relocating and reconstructing the Chualar and Abbott Street interchanges with grade-separated railroad crossings. New local frontage roads will be constructed east and west of the highway mainline to maintain access to adjacent properties. The estimated construction capital cost is $378 million, with an additional $48 million estimated for Right of Way capital including utility relocation. The selected Construction Manager will partner with the Department's design team during the design phase and may be awarded a construction contract upon completion of preconstruction services.
