Description
The Carson City Airport is soliciting sealed bid proposals for the Runway Safety Area Grading and Drainage Project. The project involves removing existing unpaved shoulders and replacing them with a full pavement section of new asphalt paved shoulder, grading adjacent infield to provide positive drainage, striping new runway edge line, and adjusting existing runway edge lights and miscellaneous electrical to grade. The project also includes removing the stopway, extending the runway 1000 feet north and 500 feet south, repaving the existing runway, relocating the runway 33 glide slope, and switching on the new runway 33 localizer installed by FAA Technical Operations. The project is federally funded through the FAA and is subject to BABA requirements.
