Notice of Intent to Sole Source AwardTHIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Acquisition & Property Operations, Abernathy Fish Technology Center intends to award a firm fixed price sole source 12 month contract under the authority of (FAR) Part 13.106-1(b) for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold of $350,000 to:Illumina, Inc.5200 Illumina Way San Diego, CA 92122The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 541511, Custom Computer Programming. The object of this sole source award is to purchase a MiSeq i100 Plus System for Genetics genetic tracking of Chinook salmon from Coleman National Fish Hatchery and other hatcheries. The Contractor must provide the instrument (MiSeq i100 Plus System), reagent kits and flow cells necessary for optimizing GTSeq panels, and PhiX control. The contractor must provide a 12 month warranty on the instrument (parts and labor), and must demonstrate ability to provide service for the instrument in future years. This synopsis does not constitute a solicitation; however, if any interested party believes they can meet the above requirement, it may submit a statement of capabilities. The statement of capabilities must be submitted in writing and must contain clear and convincing evidence that competition of this requirement would be advantageous to the Government.
